The Hay-Band is an adjustable, latex-free elastic band worn on the arm just below the elbow. A small plastic stud on the inside presses gently on Large Intestine 11 (Quchi), a point used in traditional Chinese acupressure.
There is nothing to swallow, spray or drop into your eyes. Nothing is absorbed into the body, so it won’t make you drowsy or interact with any medication you already take.
Fitting it takes a few seconds. Bend your elbow, find the point at the outer end of the crease, and slide the band on so the stud rests there, snug but not tight. Either arm is fine, and you can wear it for as long as you like, on its own or alongside antihistamines, nasal sprays and eye drops. It’s reusable, so one band covers this season and the ones after it, and it suits adults and children aged 3 and over.
Don’t wear the Hay-Band during pregnancy, as the LI-11 point is traditionally used to encourage the onset of labour.
