A Simple Band, Worn At The Elbow
The Hay-Band is an adjustable elastic band that fits around your arm just below the elbow. On the inside is a small plastic stud, positioned to press against a specific pressure point on your forearm.
That is the whole product. There is nothing to take, nothing to apply and nothing to run out of.
It is latex free, and you wear it season after season.
Putting It On
There is only one thing to get right, and that is where the stud sits. Once it is in position you can forget about it, and there is no limit on how long you keep it on.
Find the point: Bend your elbow. The point sits at the outer end of the crease.
Position the stud: Slide the band on so the stud rests on that spot.
Adjust the fit: Snug, not tight. You should feel light, steady pressure.
Wear it before the season starts, or put it on at any point once you are already having a bad day.
Either arm is fine.
What To Expect
Most hay fever treatments ask you to put something into your body, and to keep doing it every day for as long as the season lasts. The Hay-Band requires none of that.
- No drugs. Nothing enters your system, so there’s nothing to interact with the medication
you may already be taking. - No drowsiness. No sedative ingredients, so no restriction on driving or operating machinery.
- Reusable. Buy it once. There is no repeat purchase to remember in the middle of July.
- For adults and children over 3. Provided the band fits snugly.
Acupressure In Brief
Acupressure works on the same principles as acupuncture, but nothing pierces the skin. Pressure is applied from the outside instead, a practice that has been part of Chinese medicine for around four thousand years.
In traditional Chinese medicine, health is understood as the free flow of energy, known as chi, along channels called meridians. Specific points along those meridians are each associated with different parts of the body.
The Hay-Band applies pressure to one of them: Large Intestine 11, also called Quchi, on the outer elbow.

Before You Buy
Because nothing is absorbed into the body, there is very little to consider before wearing one. There is one exception, and it matters.
Not for use during pregnancy. The LI-11 point is traditionally used to encourage the onset of labour, so the Hay-Band should not be worn by expectant mothers.
Otherwise, it can be worn alongside antihistamines, sprays, drops or anything else you already use. It is latex free. Children over 3 can wear it as long as the band fits snugly.
